ONE WEEK. Just ONE. MORE. WEEK until spring break starts, and I don’t think there’s any one else in the world who is half as excited as I am to get this vacation going. You know, I heard that college was supposed to be one of the most thrilling parts of a person’s life, but I have to admit that in my own experience, it’s also the most stressful. I mean, there’s loads of homework due each week, your classes’ mid-terms are usually all scheduled around the same day.. And throw in the added bonus of trying to make friends when everyone else is also on this crazy rollercoaster of all-nighters and exams!
I guess what I’m trying to say is college is hard work! But that’s okay, because we all get through it eventually. All I know is that pretty soon, I will be doing nothing but lots of sleeping in, laughing with my best friend, and absolutely NO schoolwork.
What are your plans for break? Let me know in the comments!

Hey all! I hope your day has been going swell. Mine sure has been interesting, what with our random, crazy hailstorm that went on this afternoon as I was walking to class, which then resulted with me having to sit at my desk for an hour and half, soaking wet. I'm not complaining, it was actually pretty cool. Although for a minute there, I thought I had just stepped into a scene from The Day After Tomorrow. Cue younger, hot Jake Gyllenhaal! Anywhere? No? Oh well..
So tell me about your day, you guys! I want to get to know my readers! Pleeeease:)

Rain, Rain... Never Go Away
So it’s raining cats and dogs over here. Let me just say that having spent my whole life in Southern Cali, I don’t get to enjoy a nice rainfall very often. So days like today are like a gift to me! Why can’t it rain like this every day? I love it! <3

How often does it rain where you live? Do you like it, or are you more partial to bright and sunny days? Let me know in the comments!

Be Your Amazing, Wonderful Self
Hello beautiful people! Sarah, here. I just logged on today to tell you all, just in case you haven’t been told already, that you are AMAZING. You have so many unique qualities that make you… you, and you should be proud of that. You don’t need to be like anyone else, and you shouldn’t want to be either. How boring would it be if everyone was exactly the same? That’s right! Extremely boring.
So today, I challenge you all to just be yourself. Show off the qualities that you admire most, and make today wonderful!

Challenge Accepted
So, not to be a total drag or anything, but lately life for me has been a little.. shall I say, mundane? And to be honest, I’m getting sick of doing the same ol’ routine every damn day. I mean, I know there are some things that I just can’t stop doing, like going to class or taking a shower, but I have found a way to spice things up a little bit. I was inspired by blogger, Alex, from milkthepigeon.com, to change things up a little. To find the excitement that I once felt for life, all over again. How am I going to do that, you ask? Well, curious reader, I am going to challenge myself this year. Every month, I am going to learn or experience something new and exciting and delve into every aspect of it. Then, when the month is over, I will start on something new.
Here is a list of things that I have come up with so far:
#1: Take one picture every day for a year. (This is one challenge I have already begun.)
#2: Read at least one book every month for the rest of the year.
*My first book, for February is a little something called Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café by Fannie Flagg.
#3: Drink at least 3 glasses of water a day. I know the rule is 8, but I’m starting off small. I used to be able to drink bottles and bottles of the stuff, and would like to get back into that again.
#4: Write one (or more) blogs, a week. (Here’s my first one! This is SO exciting!)
#5: Pay a compliment to at least one person a day.
#6: Twice a week, do something active to get my heart rate up. (That could be running, dancing, etc…)
#7: When a negative comment comes to mind, yell (in my head), “Noooo!” and rework it into a positive comment.
(ex: “Oh my gosh, I am SO fa… Nooo!! My curves help me feel more beautiful than the woman I already am!”
Well, there you have it. I’ll be adding more, of course, as I keep getting new ideas, but for now, these will do just fine.
